Tile
Calculator

Know exactly how many tiles and boxes you need, including wastage. In seconds.

The quick answer

To find how many tiles you need, divide the area to be tiled by one tile’s area and add about 10% for cuts and wastage. For example, 100 sq ft with 600x600 mm tiles needs about 31 tiles. This free tile calculator does it instantly and tells you how many boxes to buy.

300 × 300

Bathrooms and balconies. Anti-skid finishes, easy around drains.

The everyday choice for living rooms and bedrooms. Fewer joints.

800 × 800

Large living areas and open plans. A seamless, spacious look.

600 × 1200

Why add 10% wastage?

Tiles get cut at walls, corners and around fittings, and a few break in handling. 10% covers most straight layouts. Add up to 15% for diagonal or patterned laying, and for small rooms where the cuts add up.
